I had one express line of attendees walking right in with COVID Proof, and another slow line of those without it who were asking about it.
I live in NY, but I was vaccinated in another state and am left with no digital options. The best I could find required me to also show my ID every time. With COVID Proof, I’ve been able to attend events and enter venues using a single tool anywhere I go.
People really liked how sleek {COVID Proof} was. It kind of made {us} look like we were on the cutting edge of things rather than doing it in some hodgepodge of apps"

How is this better than just manually collecting and reviewing attendee COVID vaccination cards?

By matching attendee COVID vaccination cards to their ID or driver’s license, we provide added assurance that they are the one scanning the vaccine card and attesting to its validity. COVID Proof also stores a copy of the digital document vaccination document should an event administrator need to access it.

What types of vaccines do you accept?

We allow attendees to select from all current FDA approved vaccines (Moderna mRNA-1273, Pfizer/BioNTech BNT162b2, Janssen (Johnson & Johnson) Ad26.COV2.S), and four additional WHO-approved vaccines (Oxford/AstraZeneca AZD1222, Covishield (Oxford/AstraZeneca formulation), Sinopharm (Beijing) BBIBP-CorV (Vero Cells), Sinovac CoronaVac. Learn more about current WHO guidance:

How do you guarantee accuracy of the COVID vaccination card?

We can’t guarantee it. COVID vaccination cards are not perfect, but they are clearly the best option society has during this pandemic. OSHA guidance also outlines various forms of acceptable vaccination proof, including digital copies of vaccination cards.

What if someone’s vaccine status changes?

They’ll just update their vaccine status in the Nametag app, then go to your unique link again and approve the sharing request. It’ll automatically update in the system and in your real-time report.

What if an unvaccinated attendee tries to use someone else’s vaccine card?

We apply the latest in machine vision and AI technology to match the vaccination card to your ID, but the vaccination card itself must be lawfully obtained. We also ask users to attest to the accuracy of the documentation they provide. Many states have issued legal warnings about creating fraudulent vaccination cards, so users should check with local authorities if in doubt.

How should I handle attendees with vaccine exemptions?

COVID Proof verifies vaccination proof only. We recommend setting up a dedicated internal email address, appointed contact person, or other internal system to support those attendees who seek a vaccine exemption or who opt for regular testing. By automating the collection and tracking of vaccinated attendees, administrative time can be focused on limited exception requests.

How long do you retain my report or attendee vaccination records?

We hold this information for one year from date of submission by an attendee, unless you or they request its removal, or if a paid billing plan is extended to a later date. This policy may be revisited if OSHA or related guidance changes.

How do you keep my data secure?

COVID Proof uses Nametag’s sophisticated security practices, including encryption in transit and at rest, to keep your information safe. All data collected also follows the Nametag privacy practices, which can be summarized in 10 words that are clear and transparent: we only share information when you (a user) specifically ask us to. After your organization signs up, attendees receive a request from COVID Proof to share specific data about their legal name and vaccination details, and if approved, this information appears in your event report.
